This video argues that the recently released Obama birth certificate is a fraud. . Also see the Escape from Tyranny blog (h/t an anonymous poster here).
What I am wondering is this. Back in 2008 when Pamela Geller, Texas Darlin', other bloggers and I were raising questions about the birth certificate, Factcheck.org produced the Certificate of Live Birth and put it on their site. They and Obama claimed that was all that there was to see; that the COLB was final proof. Now, Obama is producing a different document. He is changing his story. He was lying then. Whether this video's questions are legit, my question is, why did he and Factcheck.org lie? Why did they lie two years ago and fail to produce this document then?

Pastor James David Manning Calls Obama Greatest American Fraud
Pastor James David Manning cooks with steam (h/t Bob Robbins). Besides the questions he raises about President-elect Obama's birth certificate, calling his election the biggest fraud in American history, Manning points out that the whites who voted for Obama are more racist than those who voted against him.
I had thought of this before. The racist, pro-Obama claim that those who opposed Obama did so because of race speaks to a psychological process known as cognitive dissonance. Cognitive dissonance or mental conflict refers to a process whereby our minds attempt to resolve internally conflicting facts. For instance, if we believe intellectually that racism is wrong but work in a company that is 95% white, attended universities that are 95% white, sent our children to elementary schools that are 95% white and live in neighborhoods that are 95% white, we might sense a mental conflict. In order to resolve their cognitive dissonance, racist white liberals supported Obama. Call it liberal guilt, perhaps, but it is more immediate than mere guilt.
Manning is absolutely right. The worst white bigots I know have all supported Obama, and the left-wing propagandists who make sure that their children attend all-white schools, colleges and universities are the most vocal of Obama's backers. I never saw more politically correct, intolerant left wingers than when I worked in all-white towns and in colleges that were all-white. These university-linked students and fauclty, a bunch of closed-minded bigots, are Obama's base of support.
Manning's points are all spot on and worth a careful listen.

Judge Tosses Ohio Law Suits--Hawaii Rules Barack Born There
According to SeattlePI.com the State of Hawaii officials state that Barack Obama was born there. As well, Ohio's Warren County Magistrate Andrew Hasselbach has tossed David Neal's law suit. Similar suits have been tossed in Seattle (Steve Marquis) and Philadelphia (Phil Berg). The article does not say who the Hawaiian officials who made this ruling are or or whether they are willing to reveal the father's name on the vault copy birth certificate. Andy Martin has claimed that the father is Franklin Marshall Davis and that there would likely be "unknown" next to the father's name. Senator Obama has been claiming that his true father is Barack Obama, Sr.

Steve Marquis's Birth Certificate Case Dismissed
I just received the following e-mail from D. Lizzy, who attended Steve Marquis's pro se case against Barack Obama on the basis of his birth certificate. D. Lizzy writes:
Mitchell,
I went to court today to watch Steve Marquis argue in defense of the
constitution and you were right. He is a brave man and very well spoken.
And smart to boot.
The judge seemed a little synpathetic. But ruled against him and it was
dismissed with prejudice which I wish he would have objected to. But the
whole thing was disheartening. Thanks for posting his efforts.

Captain Ed, Or Captain Kangaroo?
I just wrote the following letter to NewsMax in response to "Captain Ed's" insulting remarks concerning bloggers who have written about the Obama birth certificate.
Dear Editor: I take issue with "Captain Ed" Morrissey's depiction of bloggers who have been concerned with the birth certificate question as engaging in "a 'conspiracy theory' that had been put to rest by the Obama campaign over the summer but ”has arisen like a zombie yet again to suck the credibility out of the conservative blogosphere.”
I hold a Ph.D. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and have been doing academic research for many years. I have blogged about the Obama birth certificate, and I do not believe that I have done anything to affect anyone's credibility. Perhaps a clue to Mr. Morrissey's weakened credibility is that he insists on calling himself "Captain Ed". Perhaps he should give up sailing for a while and read the blogs he criticizes. In fact, I'm offering to debate him publicly.
I'm not worried about damaging my credibility because I do not think most of the people I know would take my debating with anyone who calls himself "Captain Ed" as anything but a joke.
Sincerely,
Mitchell Langbert

Pamela Geller/Atlas Shrugs Skeptical of No Quarter Blog Claims
Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs writes "I will not publish against Barack Hussein until we see IF he gets the nomination." She had broken the birth certificate story through her work with Techdude. I had heard that Larry Johnson of No Quarter Blog, who is a Clinton supporter, had obtained a copy of the Obama birth certificate. He blogged this over the weekend. Now, Pamela of Atlas, is skeptical of Johnson's claims and wants to avoid helping Hillary. Therefore, she will not publish against Barack Hussein Obama. Pamela contends that Hillary is still a bigger threat than Obama.
I don't agree and I give my reasons below, but in a nutshell, the American public has the right to an electoral system that functions coherently. Partisanship created an electoral system that does not require identification, birth certificates and fingerprinting of candidates. This is a more important problem than Hillary v. Obama, because I don't believe that either can win anyway.
Pamela writes:
>Pro- Hillary blog's are reporting: *BREAKING* Barry Soetoro’s Birth Certificate in Republican Hands [UPDATE]. Just for knowing, it's total bullshit.
>"This "Republican Operative" meme is being spread by Hillary's camp. Operative? Ha! Republicans can barely find their ass with both hands. They are so politically correct they are afraid of their own shadow. They have not touched any of the O-bombshells."
>"This has Clintonostra written all over it...The African American constituency of the Democrat party is not gonna be happy if the nomination is "stolen" from Obama. Hillary wants to deflect blame and direct the nasty anger towards the Republicans...
It ain't the Republicans behind this story...I will not publish against Barack Hussein until we see IF he gets the nomination. BHO is McCain's dream opponent, HRC his nightmare. McCain's 96-year-old mother could beat BHO. The Republicans cannot even run a campaign. HRC is competent, which makes her so dangerous, should she get elected. And she is a lot more ruthless than competent...Rush revealed today that HRC's people were out there long before the Rev. Wright thing got traction, trying to get Republicans to push it forward, so they could keep their hands clean... Do NOT support anything prior to Denver which would further weaken BHO in the event that HRC has plans."
I disagree with this analysis. If Hillary wins, the Democrats lose regardless of whether Republicans or Democrats broke a story about Obama. Moreover, I am unconvinced of the claim that Mr. Obama is not a serious threat. I think that he is a bigger threat than Hillary. One reason is that Obama's followers will drop the Democrats if he does not get the nomination. They will drop Hillary regardless of who obtains any adverse information.
Nor is there any evidence that anyone is going to obtain any information. I haven't seen anything approaching a practical result yet. It may well take several months to obtain the birth certificate. Waiting to cover this until September may make it impossible to get anywhere by the election.
Obama's followers will not care if Republicans or Democrats obtain the birth certificate. A large percentage of them are under-25, Paris Hilton types who are the products of "progressive" education. Thus, they can't even read the birth certificate. They will be upset that Mr. Obama lost, and 30% of them will not vote. That 30% doesn't vote much of the time anyway. Hence, if the birth certificate is revealed before the convention, then Hillary gets the nomination and 30% of Obama's supporters drop out, and therefore McCain wins because more Obama supporters will drop out than McCain supporters will shift. If the birth certificate is revealed after the election, same result.
There is another, more crucial point. The issue of the birth certificate is a matter of ethics, not just politics. The public has a right to know. Whether that results in Hillary Clinton's nomination or not is not the core of the issue. There are weaknesses to a partisan system, one of which is that both sides collude in avoiding improvement in order to enhance each others' capacities to exploit the system. I want the Republicans to win, but I don't want them to do it by gaming a corrupt electoral system. Perhaps this kind of attitude is why, since 1994 when Rush's henchman Newt Gingrich gained power, there have been massive spending increases, increased corruption, corrupt subsidies to Wall Street Banks and increasingly bloated federal budgets. Maybe partisanship is not the solution.
I see no need to suspend coverage of this or to avoid attacking the most likely Democratic nominee. The Republicans should aim to win with good ethics, integrity and principle, not venom and anger at Democrats. Hillary right now is unlikely to get the nomination, so the real target is B.O.
Pamela certainly aims to continue to cover the story. In another blog she writes:
"There is more to come on Obama's citzenship issues. It is well beyond the COLB now. Stay tuned."

Obama Birth Certificate, FEC Petition Update
The FEC Obama birth certificate petition will close in a day or two. We've got almost 4,700 signatures. If you haven't signed it yet, please consider signing it and passing the url along to your friends. The petition reads:
The signers of this petition request the Federal Elections Commission and Mr. Donald McGahan, FEC chairman, to take responsibility to verify the eligibility of Mr. Barack H. Obama to be President of the United States. Mr. Obama has refused to produce a physical certified, stamped copy of his birth certificate. An electronically-displayed image displayed by his official campaign website has been alleged to be a forgery. We request that the FEC require Mr. Obama to authorize the FEC to obtain an official copy of his birth certificate and if he does not produce the authorization that the FEC reject his registration as a presidential candidate; that the FEC not monitor his campaign finances during the primary or election; that votes cast for Mr. Obama and reported by the states' boards of elections not be recorded and displayed by the FEC; and that Mr. Obama be considered in violation of 2 USC 437g for filing a false statement on FEC Form 2, as specified on that form.

Contact with Social Democratic Media Re Obama Birth Certificate
I just sent the following message to editors at the New York Times, CNN, CBS Evening News, Newsweek and Time.
>Why haven't you covered Mr. Obama's failure to permit access to his birth certificate? There is considerable buzz about it on the Web, and you increase public skepticism by avoiding discussion. See the following blogs:

You wonder why the public stops taking you and the news media seriously, but all this buzz, thousands of people, on the Internet are wondering why Mr. Obama has not disclosed the information, and you're not asking questions. At a minimum, you should publicly ask him for all ID documents. Why has he failed to respond to repeated requests? There may be nothing wrong, but your failure to ask makes you look absurdly partisan.

TexasDarlin on Obama Birth Certificate--Previous Owner Was Female
TexasDarlin has several fascinating posts on the Obama birth certficate, h/t Contrairimairi, Larwyn and Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs, indicating that the owner of the fraudulent Obama birth certificate presented on the Daily Kos site was female (and presumably could not have been Obama, but who knows?).
TD notes that two different Honolulu hospitals have records of Obama's birth.
On July 8 TexasDarlin asked:
"In which hospital was Obama born: Queens Medical Center or Kapiolani Medical Center? I read that Obama himself refuses to answer this question. Is that true?
Likewise the State of Hawaii continues to develop an image as a state that excels in secrecy in government. TD notes:
Recent calls to both hospitals to get confirmation of Obama’s birth led nowhere. A colleague reports:
“At Queens, I was told it was private information and I had to fill out a medical request form (needs to be signed by BO). I then said ‘Oh I thought it would be common knowledge in Hawaii which hospital he was born at.’ She then laughed nervously and said “Ah no” and told me again that I needed the form."
Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs has an analysis and report here, here and here.
