Venezuelan Suppression

Prairie Pundit (h/t Larwyn) notes that Venezuela's quasi-dictator, Hugo Chavez, has threatened to imprison his chief political rival, Manuel Rosales. Prairie Pundit quotes Reuters quoting Chavez:

"'I am determined to put Manuel Rosales behind bars. A swine like that has to be in prison.'"

Barack Obama has said that he wishes to unconditionally meet with strongman Chavez. Larry Johnson of NoquarterUSA notes that Bill Ayers is a frequent visitor to Venezuela as is Obama fundraiser Jodie Evans.

I wonder if Senator Obama looks at Hugo Chavez as a personal role model.

Russian Elections Commission Sees US Media Bias

Gateway Pundit (h/t Larwyn) notes that Russia's Central Elections Committee's Centre for the Study of Election Technology has issued a report analyzing the US media. The report finds that the US media is biased toward Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Gateway Pundit notes that:

"The observations appear to ape western criticisms of Russia's elections in which international observers have complained Russia's television networks are overwhelmingly pro-Kremlin and offer unbalanced and unfair coverage of opposition candidates."

In other words, the US media is behaving very much like the Russian media under communism.

This video (h/t Nancy Razik) discusses Barack and Michelle Obama's socialist agenda.

Journalist Malone Disowns His Profession

Pajamasmedia has an excellent post by journalist Michael S. Malone (h/t Larwyn) who says that he feels embarrassed to publicly admit to his profession given the thick pro-Obama bias in the PAM.

Malone writes:

"The sheer bias in the print and television coverage of this election campaign is not just bewildering, but appalling. And over the last few months I’ve found myself slowly moving from shaking my head at the obvious one-sided reporting, to actually shouting at the screen of my television and my laptop computer.

"But worst of all, for the last couple weeks, I’ve begun — for the first time in my adult life — to be embarrassed to admit what I do for a living. A few days ago, when asked by a new acquaintance what I did for a living, I replied that I was “a writer”, because I couldn’t bring myself to admit to a stranger that I’m a journalist.

"...But nothing, nothing I’ve seen has matched the media bias on display in the current Presidential campaign..."
