LETTER TO IRS AND MR. DOUGLAS SHULMAN REQUESTING INVESTIGATION OF BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

PO Box 130
West Shokan, New York 12494
August 15, 2008

Mr. Douglas Shulman
Commissioner of Internal Revenue
US Department of Treasury
1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20220

Dear Mr. Shulman:

I would like to file a formal complaint with the Internal Revenue Service requesting verification of the natural-born U.S. citizenship of Mr. Barack Obama, and revocation of his eligibility to apply for or renounce presidential campaign matching funds if his citizenship is not verified as described below within 7 days of your receipt of this letter. Mr. Obama has not shown that he fulfills the Constitutional requirement for president, to be a “natural born citizen”, Article Two, Section 1 of the US Constitution, and therefore may not meet the definition of “candidate” under Section 9002 of the Internal Revenue Code which defines “candidate” as someone who:

“has qualified to have his name on the election ballot (or to have the names of electors pledged to him on the election ballot) as the candidate of a political party for election to either such office in 10 or more States.”

The basis for this complaint is:

a) Mr. Obama’s refusal to produce a physical certified, stamped copy of his birth certificate, with the Hawaii file number visible, upon my previous repeated request and the requests of others.
b) Significant analysis of the electronically-displayed image displayed by Mr. Obama on his official campaign website as the certificate indicates forgery.
c) The electronically-displayed image displayed by Mr. Obama on his official campaign website has the Hawaii state birth certificate filing number blacked out, eliminating any objective information that links the image to an actual certificate on file (see http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2008/07/atlas-exclusive.html).

I would like to respectfully request the Internal Revenue Service to investigate whether Mr. Obama is a candidate as defined in Section 9002 by requesting a copy of Mr. Obama’s birth certificate. If Mr. Obama produces a certified, stamped copy of the original birth certificate with all information visible, I request as the complainant to see that document in person to examine its authenticity, including electronically, before the IRS finalizes its response; and the opportunity to verify the authenticity with the issuing state official. This process should require no more than two business days, and may take place in at the Treasury Department office in Washington.

If the certificate is not produced in 10 days and verified by the IRS and myself within another 5 days, this complaint requests that the IRS make public its determination that Mr. Obama is not a candidate as defined in section 9002.

I ask for expedited formal response and resolution of this request, given that the national convention furthering the candidacy will occur in two weeks, and given that this document is easy to produce upon personal request of Mr. Obama to the Hawaii state government. Please note the IRS can request it directly, as qualifying under Hawaii Revised Statutes § 338-18 has having “a direct and tangible interest in the record.”

This request is made with the utmost respect for the presidential election process and the candidates involved, in the desire to resolve this question quickly and confirm their integrity. If a similar request is appropriate to be made to all presidential candidates by the IRS it must not slow down this specific request. Please respond by email to: mlangbert@hvc.rr.com.

Sincerely,

Mitchell Langbert

Obama doesn't have to show anything to anyone under the Constitution. It only requires that certain conditions are met, so it is incumbent on any person on the planet with an interest in upholding the U.S. Constitution to notify any relevant authorities if any condition has not been met.

Certainly anyone is at liberty to canvas the spending of public funds to conduct an investigation of a person's eligibility, based on a belief of ineligibility, but no person or body has any obligation to act on such a belief unless they have an obligation under the law to act on a reasonable belief.

For any person or body to conduct such an investigation without being able to show that just cause existed, would constitute a clear case misappropriation of funds - and it would NOT be a just cause to pursue the ramblings of an internet fraud like "Techdude" who is clearly an impersonator of a forensic expert, and who also failed to produce the evidence which he claimed to have had.

The same thing applies to the internet ramblings of "Polarik" who refuses to accept, despite all the evidence, that Hawaii produced a different border for its certificates in 2007.

Ray, I know you think all of this is a wild goose chase, but sometimes I think, people who are entrusted with "safeguarding" grow lax. You may as well get used to the idea that some of us out here in the real world are working to make sure that did not and does not happen. We intend to rattle any cage until the appropriate person/s make it abundantly clear to the general populace that this has not/will not happen. There are rules, and people charged with enforcing them. We will find the responsible parties, and make certain that they are in fact enforcing all the rules as they apply.
TGIF! Have a great weekend!

Of course they are lax at times, and of course we need to keep updating procedures as we go along, but there is one bit of updating of procedures that occurred hundreds of years ago that gave people in civilized countries the right of "natural justice" (commonly known as "procedural fairness" or "due process" these days). I, and and immense number of others insist it must prevail and mob rule will not.

This is NOT mob rule! To ask for verification of the rules is absolutely correct, and should be SOP. Americans trust too much I think. From statements you have made previously, I don't think you have always been from here. I don't know where you hail from, perhaps the UK, or Aussie land, but in America, sometimes the natives get restless and decide to take people in various positions to task. It is not unusual, or uncommon. This just happens to be one of those times, and in fact, the prevailing authorities on the matter will be obligated to prove they have done their job. That's all we are asking, and it is NOT "mob rule".

Asking for relevant information or evidence is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.

The U.S. is not much different to any other civilized country, although a fair percentage of the citizens seem to be unaware of it and think they have more legal rights. Frankly i think you have less, especially since 9/11).

No amount of hype about imaginary rights of U.S. citizens is going to make any difference to people in government agencies who know the law and are obliged to observe it.

If you want information from Obama or the people who hold that information - ask them the right way or use the media or petitions or politicians, but don't (as we say in Australia) "come the raw prawn and pretend you have a legal basis for your complaints when in fact you have none at all. You don't have single scrap of evidence upon which you can lodge a complaint or demand any investigation.

If you DO find some apparently incriminating evidence - good luck with it. I don't care if he's guilty of anything.

Ray, Citizens monitor such things ALL the time, look at past election challenges at ALL levels of the voting process in nearly every voting venue. In America we DO and will continue our monitoring efforts, and the appropriate officials do and should continue to respond.
Welcome, Australian buddy! You're "bugger it" comment was the clincher! I am a frequent visitor to the UK and have MANY friends there!

Thanks for this letter.... as a voter I want and I have a right to see that he is indeed a natural born US citizen. Mccain was sued and he produced a verified genuine birth certificate that shows he is indeed a natural born citizen.I thank you for sending this letter to the IRS. I believe Barack Hussein Obama HAS TO BE INVESTIGATED!
