Birth Certificate Petition at

Rally has a petition demanding release of Barack Obama's birth documentation. The petition is located here. The petition reads:

>Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution reads: "No Person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States."

>There are numerous questions as to Obama's citizen status raising suspicion and doubt about Obama constitutional qualification to be president. To settle these questions Mr. Obama must produce proof of citizenship!

>Documents that must be produced include;
(a) a certified copy of "vault" (original long version) birth certificate;
(b) certified copies of all reissued and sealed birth certificates in the names Barack Hussein Obama, Barry Soetoro, Barry Obama, Barack Dunham and Barry Dunham;
(c) a certified copy Certification of Citizenship;
(d) a certified copy Oath of Allegiance taken upon age of maturity;
(e) certified copies of admission forms for Occidental College, Columbia University and Harvard Law School; and
(f) certified copies of any court orders or legal documents changing his name from Barry Soetoro.

>It is reasonable that these documents should be produced considering that his father is Kenyan, his adoptive father is Indonesian, and his grandmother claims to have been present at his birth in Kenya. If he is a natural born citizen then producing these documents should not be any problem.

>These allegations will not go away until Mr. Obama produces proof to federal authorities and the public. If he will not do so voluntarily he must be compelled by every means available. You, as an employee of The People, have sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution.

>We The People are demanding you to make every effort, both public and private, to resolve this fundamental Constitutional question before 20 January.

The petition is located here.

Barack Obama: Born in Hawai`i
by Andrew Walden
It is time to focus on REAL issues, not imaginary ones.

A fairly impressive internet industry has sprung up claiming that Obama was born in either Kenya or Indonesia. This is nonsense, which distracts from the broadly unexplored story of Obama's upbringing. This kind of nonsense has emerged because the McCain campaign chose not to raise the many questions about Barack Obama's numerous hard-left alliances. Barack Obama was born in Hawai`i, August 4, 1961 at Kapiolani Medical Center in Honolulu.

Obama's birth certificate posted online is exactly the same birth certificate everybody in Hawai`i gets from the State Department of Health. It is not forged. There is nothing unusual about the design or the texture. In addition to the birth certificate, the August 13, 1961 Honolulu Advertiser also carries an announcement of Obama's birth. The Honolulu Star-Bulletin also carries the same announcement. Both papers require submission of a copy of the birth certificate to print a birth announcement.

By refusing media requests for a look at the actual paper birth certificate, Obama's campaign gave sly backhanded assistance to the forgery hype. The internet release of the birth certificate via hyper-partisan website Daily Kos on June 12 before posting it on a campaign website was likely calculated to fuel the frenzy. This is Obama's Gramscian strategy designed to redirect the opposition down a blind alley. It was so successful that Hawai`i government offices found themselves inundated with telephone calls from mainland voters in the days before the November 4 election.

Since Hawai`i law forbids the release of birth certificates to anybody not authorized by Barack Obama or his family, Obama further fed the paranoia by choosing not to grant such permissions. A World Net Daily story claiming Hawai`i's Republican Governor Linda Lingle "sealed" the birth certificate is totally false. The governor's office has asked for a retraction. The forgery story was also boosted by video claims that Obama's Kenyan grandmother stated that Obama "is a son of this village" — a phrase which can have many different meanings.

For Obama to have been born in Kenya, Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr. would have had to fly from Honolulu to Mombasa, give birth in a substandard third world hospital, fly back and then somehow arrange for a fraudulent birth certificate to be entered by the State of Hawai`i on August 8, 1961 (at the time governed by Republican William Quinn). They would have also somehow planted the phony birth announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser (at the time edited by Republican Thurston Twigg-Smith) and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. Hawai`i's current Republican Governor Linda Lingle would also have to be complicit in the cover-up as would all of the leftist 1960s University of Hawaii friends of Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr – among them US Rep. Neil Abercrombie.

In 1961, the roundtrip flight to Kenya would have been a very expensive, pointless, and time consuming epic journey for two starving students. Barack Obama Sr. had only been able to come study at UH Manoa with a free ticket on a donated charter flight with other Kenyan students. B

Obama benefited from creating an opposition which seemed to be standing by the side of the road impotently pointing to a piece of paper as if it could stop 63 million voters from anointing their "chosen one." Birth certificate lawsuit plaintiff Phil Berg is a Democrat and whether he understands it or not, he has done great work on behalf of his party.

It is time for folks to stop being played by the Obama campaign and drop this counterproductive "phony birth certificate" nonsense. Obama opponents can find plenty of real material by focusing on the hard-left alliances, stated positions, personnel appointments and policy actions of the Obama administration and of the Democrat-controlled Congress.

Dear SMRStrauss: Thank you for your thoughtful comment (as was the last comment or two that you have made--I appreciate your thoughtfulness). I do not doubt that the birth certificate issue may be the result of intentional manipulation by the Obama camp. When I first got involved with this I premised everything I said and wrote with the idea that the entire issue might be a ploy to get his opponents into a trap. However, there still may be something interesting underneath this, namely, the identity of his father who may be on the vault copy of the certificate. At this point a judge has reviewed the Hawaiian birth certificate so there is little support for the claim that he was born in Kenya.

As well, you need to remember that manipulation works both ways. Rumors like this can be fertile grounds for better findings. Getting a lot of people excited about this so late in the game can hardly be the outcome for which the Obama camp hoped.

Given the news media's eagerness to embrace the man, this much agitation, even if misguided, energizes people. Down the road there will be plenty of grounds for complaint about the Democrats, and if I'm wrong you can kick me twice.

The most important question facing the nation is monetary policy. It is one about which academics and the "mass media" (I prefer the phrase pissant propagandists) engage in systematic lying, fraud and deception, and have since day one. This includes academics who study the issue as well as newspapers and television. The television stations do not discuss it, or they lie outright about for instance, the role of monetary policy in wealth transfer and in inducing recessions. Even people like William Greider, who wrote a lengthy book about the subject, are utterly deceived by the endless lying about monetary policy. The public is utterly bamboozled about the subject, and policy is based on utter chicanery.

That said, what harm is there in a few rumors about Obama's birth certificate? Moreover, such rumors energize those most likely to protest. Even if the rumors are refuted (and they may not be entirely vis-a-vis the identity of Obama's father) I do not think Obama likes to have thousands of people buzzing about what a liar he is, even if the specifics are confused a bit.

Mr. Langbert: Which judge is it that supposedly reviewed his birth certificate?

It is important enough of an issue that the Supreme Court is planning a Dec. 5 "conference" to discuss the Donofrio suit.
